The Soundtrack for GI Joe: Rise of Cobra is scheduled for release on August 4th, but we here at ArashikageClan.com got a hold of our copy early.

The soundtrack is completely comprised of the musical score put together for the movie by Alan Silvestri (view his credentials here) and there exists no sampling of mainstreem music releases as played on the tv spots (yes, no Kid Rock on this Albulm).

The music is fairly conservative, and there isn't the slighest hint of anything resembling the classic cartoon series. No "marching" version of the classic sunbow themesong; and no shouts of "Yo Joe!" or "Got to get tough". This soundtrack resembles the music you get in a grown up movie; it's very classical.
