July 29, 2009 - Hot off the heels of San Diego Comic-Con comes even more news and debuts. Today IDW is revealing a new GI Joe mini-series, scheduled to debut this October.

Under the guidance of editor Andy Schmidt, the Joe comic book franchise has expanded dramatically. IDW currently has three main titles under its wing - the core G.I. Joe series, G.I. Joe: Origins and G.I. Joe: Cobra. Add in publications surrounding the upcoming Joe movie, and you have a full slate. However, throughout all of these titles, the biggest star of the property has been somewhat elusive.

G.I. Joe Movie: Snake Eyes puts the spotlight firmly on the Joe's all-star ninja. Ray Park, better known as the actor responsible for Darth Maul, is teaming with Kevin VanHook on the writing. Lee Ferguson is on art. Here's IDW's official solicited text:

"Ray Park, the man who plays Snake Eyes in the movie, teams with Kevin VanHook and Lee Ferguson to deliver an epic miniseries of Snake Eyes before the events of the film! And check out this cover—it's got red foil! Totally awesome!"

The mini is set to debut this October. Lucky for you, we even have a few unlettered preview pages to give you an idea of the interior art.
